Pavel Vašíček's current paintings polemicise the questions that accompany the life perspectives of people who are confronted with their own feelings of abandonment, loss of meaning or longing for identity. The vision of ubiquitous death thus becomes an impulse and a driving force, revealing human vulnerability and the fluctuating notion of fulfilment.
The plane of the present, of dreams and fantasies, creates a line of communication that is subordinated to a distinctly energetic colour palette that lends the paintings a fleetingly festive air.
