Zdeněk Daněk

Zdenek Danek, during the 1990s, pursued his artistic education at the Václav Hollar Art School in Prague. Following his studies there, he gained practical experience by working in the painting studio of Professor Nešleha and the studio of film and television graphics under the guidance of Professor Bárta at the Academy of applied arts, also located in Prague. Building upon his skills and knowledge, he later found his artistic home in the studio of Professor Beran at the Academy of Fine Arts.

There are many ways in his work, ranging from realistic painting, sculpture, animation, ecological comics, or tattooing. He deals with landscapes in different positions and problems arising from conflicts between culture and nature. Environmental concerns resulted in 2007. After contacting scientists, he painted Active Images, which, in addition to environmental messages, also actively purifies air from fumes through their surface. The most famous are his pictures of the Czech landscape, where animals and people in unusual or intimate interactions appear in the fields or in the woods.

He is currently working with painting as a medium. He believes realistic painting offers the widest range of possibilities. The image is understood as a distinct structure with internal relations, where each element of painting contains rules defined in total. It can be deconstructed and re-composed or viewed from different perspectives.

He acts or worked in the Deep Emotion, Recreation and Representation arts groups, member of the Z.Burian friends club, or as a guitarist of the band Rowna Zada.
