Peter Niznansky

Peter Nižňanský was born on July 7, 1956 in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Bratislava, major stone sculpture, and, afterwards, at the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) in Prague at the studio of Professor Jiří Bradáček.

Peter´s creative activity consists predominantly of statues and sculptures, monumental as well as intimate, occasionally also of reliefs and medals. His creations are masterfully modeled and brilliantly executed using his specific and for him characteristic technique.

His works of art can be found in the collection of the Ministry of Culture and in numerous private collections throughout the world. He is presenting his statues at individual exhibitions in the Czech Republic, in Slovakia, and abroad (Chicago, Paris, Dijon, Reims, Toulouse, Nimes, etc.) as well as at many collective exhibitions of Czech and Slovak authors. He is a member of the Association Q. Peter Nižňanský lives and works in Prague.
