Cycle of drawings "America" (1951) - Exhibition history
This collection has only seen the light of day a few times. The entire cycle of known drawings was exhibited for the first time at an exhibition at the ENA Numismatic Gallery in 2013, at the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chicago, Illinois in 2014, and at the Czech and Slovak Museum (Anderson Gallery) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2015. In January 2018 was exhibited at knupp gallery | Prague and a collector's catalog was printed for it, complete with short verses for each drawing, by Karel Sýs. The original drawings have not been exhibited, presented or sold anywhere else.
Cycle of drawings "America" (1951) - certification of origin
Each drawing is accompanied by a four-page certificate with an accompanying text and the signature of Kamil Lhoták Jr., as well as the secretary of the Kamil Lhoták Friends Association, Mr. Ing. Evžen Škňuřil and lastly my signature (Ing. Aleš Knupp) from the position of the gallerist. The certificate contains the title page of the collection of drawings, a reproduction of the given drawing, a page with text and an introductory text to the entire collection, which was typewritten by KL.
Drawings of costume designs for a theater play Bonami (1956) are illustrations for the the play by G. de Maupassant. The drawing is ink and watercolor on paper. The dimensions of each drawing are 12.5 x 10.5 cm + description. Total size including framing: 29 x 21 cm. For some drawings, we kept the original author's adjustment. Some drawings are adjusted in a metal thin frame behind UV museum glass.
