Igor Kitzberger
Igor Kitzberger is a well known Czech contemporary artist. He welds bronze sculpturee into figurative sculptures. His works are typical for their expresivity, dynamic and subtle figure rendition. Some of his characteristic works are Pagaini, Harlequin, Juggler or Dancer. Particular pieces are made in a wide height range 35 – 400 cm. In 2016 Igor worked closely on a 700th birthday anniversary of Charles IV.
Education
From 1978 to 1982 he studied at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Turnov, majoring in artistic blacksmithing.
From 1984 to 1990 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, majoring in sculpture.
Since 1990 he has been making sculptures in his workshop, mainly in bronze.
The artist had three solo exhibitions at Knupp gallery - in 2016, 2019 and 2022
